Where do the funds/donations go?
Directly to support the poor people. We are currently working with groups in Ghana, West Africa where we have chosen to start. We hope to expand to many others countries.
Whom am I helping?
People in deep poverty (living less than US one dollar a day and can not afford basic necessity for living) who wish to earn a livelihood and to meet their families' basic needs.
How is the loan used?
Clients uses the funds to acquire seeds for farming, buy animals for rearing and other goods for trading. Some use it for carpentry, and tailoring.
Is my Donation or Gift tax-deductible?
Contributions to Sabu Help are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Sabu Help is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization (EIN/tax ID number: 26-2114558).
How long does clients payback the funds?
2-3 years.
What kind of businesses do the clients operate?
They operate in very small businesses in the areas of agriculture and entrepreneurship:
- Agriculture: (maize, corn, rice ,peanuts, beans etc.)
- Animal Husbandry: (goat, chickens, pigs, sheep, cattle, etc)
- Skilled Service: (tailoring, carpentry, etc)
- Retail: (shea butter, soap making, vegetable local products, restaurants, etc.)
How are you funded?
Most of our funding comes from, grants, donations and fundraising activities.
